The Roc City Royals' offense had a big night, peppering the Syracuse Stampede with 32 shots throughout the game, to go along with Ian Stahl's shutout. The Roc City Royals took the lead early in the second on a goal from Brandon Corey.
During the second period, Corey opened the scoring for the Royals with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:16 with helpers from Conolly and Spicer.
Roc City’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Stahl’s shutout, as he stopped all 45 of the shots he faced. Stahl’s counterpart, Scheide, also had a big night, managing to stop 31 of 32, but ultimately fell short.
